Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Skydance Paramount will start mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles under a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm intending to announce complete information in its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.
Prior news stated that Paramount was looking to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.
Until December 2024, the organization employed almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not provided a response on the matter.
