The Prince of Wales Set to Attend COP30 Climate Summit in Brazil
Prince William will represent the United Nations climate conference in Brazil in the coming weeks, according to palace sources.
The father and son duo made a joint appearance on Thursday night at a gathering preceding the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the Amazonian city of Belem.
The King and Prince were present at the Natural History Museum reception, marking an rare public appearance together at a environmental conference preliminary meeting co-hosted by the British authorities.
Environmental Advocacy Commitment
The King has been a consistent supporter of environmental conservation - and the Prince of Wales has taken on the baton, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be taking place in South America before the climate conference.
Official representatives have described Prince William's attendance at the upcoming climate summit as stepping up an significant responsibility in "climate diplomacy".
Previous Activities
The King and Prince of Wales, arriving together in the official car, were greeted guests including conservation experts, scientists, environmental activists, diplomats and government officials.
This involvement included speaking alongside French leader Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in the Principality of Monaco during the current year.

The UN meeting will dovetail with the William's personal Earthshot environmental awards, which will wrap up in Rio de Janeiro the previous day he participates in the climate conference on November 6th.
